How to Wash and Care your WUKA Period Pants

Rinse your pants or pads in cold water as soon as possible after use

RINSE OR WASH

After use, give them a quick rinse. It’s up to you where you choose to rinse your pants - some of us prefer to use a sink, some prefer to rinse in the shower, and others even have a dedicated WUKA-rinsing bucket! (Now that’s some true WUKA love!)

Machine Wash

Pop your WUKAs in the washing machine with similar, dark coloured garments and wash at 30 to 40 degrees. (We recommend 30, as it’s better for the environment!).

Our Seamless, Swim Brief and Re-Purpose pants should be washed in cold water. We also recommend washing any WUKAs with mesh or lace in a wash bag. This will help prolong the life and the strength of the mesh.

Use your favourite detergent as normal, but please don’t use fabric conditioner. Fabric conditioner can reduce the absorbency of your period pants over time, which isn’t ideal.

Alternatively, WUKA Period Pants love to be hand washed. Not everyone has the time for this, but hand washing can extend their lifespan.

Air dry your WUKA period pants and pads on the washing line or on an airer

Dry

Air dry your WUKA Period Pants outside on the line or indoors on an airer - it’s up to you (or the weather). They tend to dry faster when they’re inside out, too.

Comfy and reassuring

These hipster knickers are great, I use them for menopausal/fibroid periods and wear them to give me reassurance that if I suddenly start, I'm not going to flood everywhere.
The thong I wear when I'm reasonably confident that nothing is coming!

Great pair for day and night

Love this set so much. The thong is perfect for light days or when I'm at risk of spotting. It's comfortable and well made. The lace hipsters are also a firm favourite, perfect for really heavy days or at night, they are soft and breathable but also a little bit sexy (honestly, the lace feels amazing!), so a perfect day and night combo!
