WUKA Self-heating patches are designed to provide soothing on-the-go relief to help support painful and uncomfortable periods.
How do I use the heat patch?
Open the packaging and remove the patch. Peel off the backing to expose the adhesive side. Stick the adhesive side on the outside of clothing or your underwear, never directly on the skin. Position over the area of discomfort. Check your skin regularly during use. Avoid contact with skin or eyes if the patch contents leak. If contact occurs, rinse with water immediately. Do not use the heat patch in conjunction with other external heat sources (e.g. heating pads or hot water bottles).
Can heat patches be used on all fabrics?
Heat patches can be used on most fabrics. Natural fibres such as cotton are recommended as they provide a more even heat barrier. Thin, tight or synthetic fabrics may allow more heat to transfer to the skin or trap heat, which can increase the risk of irritation or burns. Do not use beneath tight or layered clothing, as heat may increase. Choose breathable layers where possible. Do not apply to the same area on consecutive days.
Can the patches be applied directly to the skin?
No. Always apply the patch over clothing. Using beneath tight or layered clothing may increase heat, leading to the risk of irritation or burns. Using over clothing reduces risk, but does not eliminate the possibility of burns or irritation. Do not apply to the same area on consecutive days. Do not exceed 8 hours within a 24-hour period, even though the patch stays warm for up to 12 hours.
Can I wear the patches while sleeping?
No, we do not recommend wearing heat patches while sleeping. Do not apply pressure to the patch, such as lying down, sitting or leaning against it for long periods, or restricted movement, as this can increase heat intensity and the risk of skin irritation or burns.
Can the patches be used during pregnancy or breastfeeding?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have diabetes, poor circulation, nerve damage, or a skin condition, consult your healthcare professional before use.
Can the WUKA Heat Patches be used across all ages?
The patches can generally be used by individuals above 11 years of age. Due to the thinner, more sensitive skin young children should not use heat patches. Extra care should also be taken for anyone who has a skin or medical condition and/or reduced skin sensitivity.
Can I use multiple patches at the same time?
Yes, you can use multiple WUKA heat patches at the same time if you have discomfort in more than one area. However, make sure to follow the usage instructions for each patch and avoid overlapping them. Do not apply excessive heat to one area, as this may cause skin irritation or discomfort. If you're unsure, start with one patch and add another only if needed. Always prioritize comfort and safety when using WUKA heat patches.
Do the patches have any side effects?
