Endometriosis

Endometriosis

Endometriosis is a painful disorder that occurs when the tissue that lines the womb is found elsewhere in the body, such as your fallopian tubes, ovaries and your pelvis or lower abdomen. When this happens, the endometrial tissue continues behaving as it would if it was still inside the uterus; it gets thick, breaks down and bleeds out during your menstrual cycle.
