🚀WUKA's 1st Brand Ambassador 👧🏽

Maybe you’ve seen her appearances on ITV’s Lorraine or Loose Women or watched her as This Morning’s Fertility Expert. Maybe you’ve read her work as Channel Mum’s Fertility and Pregnancy Expert on their support boards and fertility courses. But now you’ll know Dr. Larisa Corda, reproductive and menstrual health expert, as WUKA’s first brand ambassador.

Dr. Larisa Corda

Dr. Larisa is a Consultant in Reproductive Medicine and will be using her expertise to engage with the WUKA community to answer medical questions and share advice about women’s health and menstruation topics.

Dr. Larisa was born in Sarajevo, former Yugoslavia, and moved with her family to Leeds at a young age. She went on to complete her medical studies at Imperial College in London, gaining an MBBS and BSc in 2007. In 2010, she decided to specialise in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and obtained her MRCOG in 2015.

Not only has Dr. Larisa had extensive medical and surgical training in women’s health, but she has also been involved in educating women about fertility and taking care of them from pre-conception through pregnancy and postpartum. She believes in a holistic approach to treating a patient that addresses a combination of physical, psychological, and lifestyle factors, that include nutrition, exercise, and spiritual wellbeing. She believes each woman should be empowered to take charge of their healthcare and be educated to make the best decisions they can regarding their health and well-being.

During her time as a doctor, Dr. Larisa developed a keen interest in and desire to work with women facing challenges in healthcare and has been involved in several charitable causes including the White Ribbon Foundation, and while she worked in Australia was an ambassador for UN Women. She is currently a Foundation Board Director for Sexplained, an international organisation that educates teenagers about reproduction, and she is an ambassador for the international humanitarian organisation, The Circle.
